On January 22, 2024, the GGP-5D project conducted its first periodic review with the European Commission (EC). The EC's Project Officer, Blagovesta Cholova, and external expert Mariana Damova thoroughly assessed the progress in each work package and the overall project development. The evaluation yielded highly positive results for GGP-5D.
Project partners showcased significant achievements in the first year across various aspects. In the realm of technical excellence, Laurent Toulemon from INED presented work on FAIR data opportunities for GGP, along with a technical paper on the mixed mode of GGS data collection.
Monika Mynarska from the Warsaw School of Economics covered the scientific and socio-economic impact, highlighting the launch of the first call for user-suggested survey questions in GGS and the successful organization of the 7th GGP User Conference in Warsaw.
Stefanie Hoherz from BiB presented progress on the financial sustainability of the GGP, sharing achieved goals and outlining plans for the GGP's Costbook and Business plan. Vytenis Deimantas from GGP CCT reported advancements in preparing future ERIC statutes of the GGP within the legal frameworks section.
Zsuzanna Makay from the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute discussed the positioning of the GGP within the research infrastructure landscape, sharing results from the GGP Consortium Board questionnaire on social sciences research infrastructures' synergies.
Letizia Mencarini from Bocconi University provided insights into the strategic partnership domain, reporting on the preparation for the initial meeting of the GGP Board of Governmental Representatives.
