Enhancing Methods Training through EuSocialCit Summer School

The EuSocialCit Summer School positioned GGP alongside SHARE to build analytical capacity among early-career researchers in life-course and social rights analysis.

Between 11 and 13 September 2023, SGH Warsaw School of Economics hosted the EuSocialCit Summer School “Access to Social Rights from the Life Course Perspective”, under the Horizon 2020 EuSocialCit project. The programme included sessions on GGP as a research infrastructure and presentations demonstrating the use of GGS data in analysing social investment and demographic change. Participants also received hands-on guidance in applying both GGS and SHARE data, highlighting the complementarities between the two infrastructures.

The summer school brought together PhD students and early-career researchers to explore quantitative life-course methods and the application of cross-national survey data, strengthening both analytical skills and the integration of GGP with other European research infrastructures.
