On 16 April 2021, GGP joined forces with SSHOC, CLARIN, and CESSDA in the Speech-to-Text Workshop – Linking Social Survey and Linguistic Infrastructures through Speech Interviews. The event introduced techniques for collecting and analysing audio recordings in quantitative surveys, and showcased tools for speech processing and analysis. With 53 participants from 16 countries—mainly researchers and academics—the workshop highlighted growing interest in combining social survey and linguistic infrastructures to enhance data quality and analytical possibilities.
